Youth fear shouldering massive debt during lifetime

MONEY is stressing our young people to the max.

Most 18-29-year-old Aussies fear they will shoulder massive debt during their lifetime.

The Future Leaders Index reveals eight out of 10 Generation Ys are worried about mortgages and having enough money to retire, 76% fear the cost of raising children and 68% think education debts will be a major burden.

The study, completed by Insight Room for university retail Co-op and professional services firm BDO, surveyed 5000 young Australians.
