Xavier students help out

AT an assembly held on Wednesday, December 2, students from Xavier Catholic College presented hampers of food and gifts to representatives of the St Vincent De Paul Society.

Each year the St Vincent de Paul Society launches an appeal to help struggling families in our community.

As part of this appeal, students at Xavier Catholic College are given a profile of a local family who are doing it tough.

Students are then asked to donate food and gift items to their home-room hampers, which are presented to representatives of the St Vincent’s Society at a whole school assembly.

Anyone interested in donating items to assist in this appeal is more than welcome to drop into the St Vincent De Paul Society shop in Ballina.
