Work on Wardell Bridge has resumed

MAINTENANCE and repainting work on the Wardell Bridge resumed this week.

State Member for Ballina, Don Page, said the work would be completed by the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Sydney Bridge painting team.

"The project was delayed in the past few months due to the insolvency of the painting contractor," he said. "Work is scheduled to be completed in September."

Boats with masts higher than 5m wanting to pass under the bridge will be affected by the work.
