Woolworths recalls pies amid fears they contain glass

A RANGE of Woolworths pies are being urgently recalled amid fears they could contain glass.

The grocery giant is warning customers not to eat its Woolworths Select Chicken & Vegetable Pie 4 packs sold in its stories from April 14 this year with a best before date ranging from October 9 and October 10 next year.

According to a statement from the company: "Woolworths is recalling this product as it may contain glass and may pose a health risk if consumed.

Those who have the 4-packs are being asked to return them for a full refund. 

Any customer who has eaten the pies and is now afraid for their health are asked to seek medical advice.

Only the pies sold with those best before dates are affected, according to Woolworths.
