Woolshed becomes house of high fashion

JONDARYAN Woolshed will change into a high-end fashion house for the Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears.

With the focus on woollen garments, a fashion show will open the Grand Banquet dinner on Friday, August 29, and will show twice daily over the festival weekend.

The fashion show promises to be an exciting walk down memory lane, working with some of Australia's top designers including Camilla and Marc, Country Road, Farage, MJ Bale, Ms Couture, Sabatini and Sportscraft Designs.

The event has been described as spectacular and more than just fashion with the entertainment in the parade adding a wow factor.

The show will feature themes from Moulin Rouge, Singing in the Rain, Blade Runner, Gone with the Wind and other movies.

There will be fashion to appeal to everyone promoting moments of nostalgia through time," they reported.

The sizzling opening to the show features stunning corset-style evening garments uniquely made for this event by Ms Coulture's leading designer, Juilee Tullio who worked with Alex Perry for more than 15 years.

Local dancers will add to the spectacular show opening which is likely to be the most exciting fashion show ever seen in our region.


  • The Jackie Howe Festival Grand Banquet is held on Friday August 29 and will feature a lamb-inspired menu with delights including canapés on the deck and a dessert tasting plate.
