QUEENSLAND Ambulance Service says a woman has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital after suffering a neck injury on a slide at Wet'n'Wild. 

Paramedics were called to the scene shortly after midday. 

The woman is said to be in a stable condition with the extent of her injuries yet to be confirmed. 

News Corp reports the theme park issued a statement saying the incident happened on the Aqua Loop ride. 

"Lifeguards and the on-site nurse provided first-aid," the statement read. 

"The guest advised lifeguards of a pre-existing condition and she was transported to hospital as a matter of precaution.

"The safety and wellbeing of guests is the highest priority at Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast.

"The park has a highly trained emergency response team and works closely with emergency services."
