Woman killed in Waterfall Way motorcycle collision

A REPORT will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal motorcycle crash which occurred west of Coffs Harbour this afternoon.

At about 1.30pm, a female motorcyclist was travelling west on Waterfall Way, Ebor, when investigations suggest she stopped to pick something up from the roadway.

While crossing the road the woman was hit by another motorcycle, also being ridden by a female.

As a result of the collision, the rider of the second motorcycle received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The woman who was crossing the road received serious injuries, including leg fractures, and was airlifted by the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter to Tamworth Hospital.

Waterfall Way is closed in both directions while the investigations continue.
