Woman coach gets off to a bad start
FOOTBALL: Chan Yuen-ting became the the first woman to coach a professional men's team in continental competition.
But it was all downhill from there as her Hong Kong side, Eastern FC, was beaten 7-0 by Guangzhou Evergrande in the Asian Champions League.
Yuen-ting, nicknamed "Beef Ball", had been hoping for a better start to her ACL career but after her side was reduced to nine men, the writing was on the wall for the 28-year-old's team.
Evergrande's big win meant the big-spending tems from the Chinese Super League all opened the ACL with a victory.
Brazilian star Ramires scored a 90th-minute goal to give Jiangsu Suning a 1-0 success over Jeju United and Shanghai SIPG beat FC Seoul by the same scoreline on Tuesday.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's Evergrande has won the last six Chinese Super League titles.
Also in Group G, Kawasaki Frontale was held 1-1 at home by South Korea's Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
