A YOUNG woman has been airlifted from Flat Rock at Skennars Head to the Lismore Base Hospital after suffering a head injury.

It is understood the woman fell and hit her head on a rock and subsequently took a seizure at about 2pm today.

She was treated on the beach by paramedics and then taken by road ambulance to the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter which was waiting on private property north of Flat Rock.

She is currently undergoing examination in hospital.

The helicopter also flew a man to Lismore Base Hospital after he fell through the roof of a North Woodburn property this morning.
