Actor Will Smith tracked down in remote community
WILL SMITH has been spotted in a very unlikely location during his journey to Far North Queensland - and we have found a clue why.
The Fresh Prince himself has been photographed posing with a ground crew member at the Lockhart River Airport, almost 500km northwest of Cairns as the crow flies.
Simon Butcher posted the photo to Facebook with the caption: "Dad yayii with Will Smith at Lockhart River airport this morning".
The Aboriginal community at Lockhart was originally an Anglican mission and was home to 726 people at the 2016 Census.
It is a beautiful part of the world, rich with culture and natural beauty, and home to the Lockhart River Arts Centre which has gained international recognition for the stunning work its famous "Art Gang" produces.

However, it is not the typical holiday destination for Hollywood celebrities on a tropical getaway.
Smith flew into Cairns on Friday night last week with an entourage in tow.
His presence has spurred all kinds of speculation about why he was here and where he would visit - was he staying at Trinity Beach, was he island-hopping, would he attend the Rondo Theatre production of Aladdin?
His previous travel itinerary may bear a clue about his motivation.
Before he arrived in the Far North, Smith was in Vanuatu filming at the mouth of the active Mount Yasur volcano on Tanna for his Netflix documentary series, One Strange Rock.
The first season started screening in March this year and follows eight astronauts "who share their unique perspectives on Earth, the fragile and beautiful planet we call home", according to Netflix.
National Geographic says 81 million people across the globe have watched One Strange Rock - or at least part of it - earning it the title of the channel's fourth most popular series.
The program has been renewed for a second season, so it seems likely Smith is travelling the southern hemisphere as part of that project.
His family's absence from the journey lends weight to the theory it is a work trip.
