Will and Karlie celebrate first Block win
LOVEBIRDS Will and Karlie are celebrating their first win on The Block as several of the other teams continue to struggle with this year's art deco brief.
The young gun renovators were praised for their confident styling and bold artwork featuring a mixture of matte and gloss paints.
"You get this incredible artwork that isn't in your face," Shaynna Blaze said.
"This feels very confident, very mature and very elegant... there's a sense of here I am."

Neale Whitaker said there was nothing he would take out of the room.
"We're researching ways to bring in the art deco look without losing our industrial style," Karlie said.
Parents Kim and Chris finished in second place by just half a point after studying up on the building's art deco heritage.

"This is way better than last week, way better," Darren Palmer said.
"I think these guys have achieved very high level of finish. I think they've learned; they've done their research."
Primary school teachers Ben and Andy were also praised for doing their homework, which inspired a feature wall between their wardrobe and guest bedroom with diamond-shaped windows.
"They have really, really embraced the theme this week." Whitaker said.

"For me of the three bedrooms we've seen so far this is the one that best fuses the (art) deco sensitivity with contemporary."
Last week's winners Julia and Sasha finished fourth after an emotional week of renovations which resulted in a "soulless" guest bedroom.
"I love the colour palette; I think it's fresh and gorgeous," Blaze said.

"But can I just say I'm sure Julia does this in half a day. This looks like something a stylist would do to get a house ready for sale."
After a second week of building site dramas and harsh feedback from the judges, an enraged Carleen declared Blaze "an absolute bogan from nowhere who's done good".
The baby boomers were slammed for a "mish mash" of styles, with Blaze ruling they should completely redo the room.
"I hate it (the wallpaper)," Whitaker said.

"It's completely overwhelming to me. It's absolutely pushing me against the wall.
"The bathroom they delivered last week made me excited. I'm looking at this room this week and thinking this couple knows nothing.
"It's a complete mess...If you can't style then just don't; I'd rather see no styling than bad styling."
This upcoming week the teams will renovate their guest bathrooms.
