IMAGINATION is a beautiful thing but reality can be something even more extraordinary.

After battling lymphoid leukaemia for almost three years, six-year-old Addison Bulloch from Georgia in United States was spirited to the island paradise of Hawaii where she believed unicorns lived inside the lush rainforests.

Not content with simply giving Princess Addison a break from the dreary atmosphere of the doctor's office, the Make-A-Wish Foundation delivered the impossible.

The princess in her perfect white gown spent the day accomplishing tasks in the hope of scoring a glimpse of the mythical creature.

Her mother was ecstatic.

"Even when she was in the throes of the heaviest doses of chemo, when there were days when she couldn't even walk because she was so weak and her blood counts were so low, she still had a smile on her face," Daneille Bulloch, told news outlet KHON 2

It was a "breath of fresh air" to see her daughter so happy.
