Warrant of arrest issued for man who abused restaurant staff

A WARRANT was issued for the arrest of Dylan John Slegers yesterday after he failed to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court over a public nuisance charge.

The 22-year-old stands accused of launching a racially charged attack on the family of Raj Sharma, owner of Indian Mehfil, as well as staff at the restaurant last month.

A condition of his bail was that he appear in court yesterday for sentencing, but he failed to show up.
