The Voice pulls in peak of 2.67 million viewers for Nine

THE Voice has been a smash hit for Channel Nine with an average of 2.15 million viewers across five capital cities tuning into see new judge Kylie Minogue in action.

Nine says The Voice was the No.1 show of the night, achieving an impressive peak audience of 443,000 and an average of 347,000 viewers in Queensland.

"Across the 5 City Metro it has had a phenomenal start as the dominant No.1 program of the night across all key demographics, securing a peak Total People audience of 2.677 million and an average of 2.155 million viewers,'' Nine said in a statement.

The Voice - Launch was also a massive timeslot winner with People 25-54, 18-49, 16-39 and Total People with this year's launch up more than 300,000 viewers compared to the 2013 launch.

The National (5 City Metro and Regional) audience for The Voice - Launch saw the peak grow to 3.641 million and the average to 2.891 million viewers.

60 Minutes was the second most watched program of the night across SEQ with Total People and People 16-54, winning its timeslot with a peak audience of 405,000 and an average of 270,000 viewers.

Nine News Sunday hosted by Eva Milic and Darren Curtis was a top ten performer locally with Total People and with People 25-54, 18-49 and 16-39, securing a peak audience of 235,000 and an average of 188,000 viewers.

Sunday Afternoon NRL dominated its timeslot across SEQ with Total People and with People 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, achieving a peak audience of 150,000 and an average of 110,000 viewers.

In Sydney the Sunday Afternoon NRL was a timeslot winner with People 25-54, 18-49, 16-39 and Total People.
