THE VOICE live finals continue tonight, and it's a battle of the generations.

Each of the four coaches has just two singers left, ranging in age from 18 to 67.

The eight finalists will be culled to four on tonight's show, with the final four then performing one song each.

Older singers Mitchell Anderson and Steve Clisby will have to draw on their experience to have any chance at beating their enigmatic young team mates Harrison Craig and Celia Pavey.

Both Pavey and Craig haven't stepped a foot wrong since wowing viewers and the coaches in their blind auditions.

But Clisby shows the game-changing power of the new save rule in the battle rounds.

Seal chose Anderson over Clisby in their battle but the American-born, Sydney-based singer was thrown a lifeline by Delta Goodrem and has made the most of his second chance.

At 67, Clisby is the oldest singer to make it through The Voice's blind auditions and battle rounds.

There is a massive 48-year age difference between him and flame-haired folk singer Pavey. has Clisby and Anderson as the outside chances to win the show's second series. Craig is in the lead with 2.1 odds, closely followed by Pavey.

The finalists on Team Joel and Team Ricky are more evenly matched in terms of age and make up the middle of SportsBet's winners table.

Luke Kennedy appears to have a slight edge over the smokey-voiced Miss Murphy on Team Ricky, while the quirky Kiyomi Vella is favoured over Danny Ross.

Unless someone shakes things up on Monday night, it looks like it will be a grand final competition between the show's youngest singers Craig and Pavey.
