THE official trailer for Charlie's Farm, the slasher film shot mostly in the Gympie region, has been released.

Nambour filmmaker and former Gympie man Chris Sun, from SlaughterFX, released the video on You Tube yesterday.

Already it has had over 1500 views.

Charlie's Farm, which stars Tara Reid, Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley and Sunshine Coast actors Sam Coward, Madeleine Kennedy, Kourtney Upton and Mark Darin has already attracted the attention of slasher film fans worldwide and American distribution firm Shoreline.

Shoreline offered a contract to act as global sales and distribution agent.

In a statement on the Charlie's Farm website, director Mr Sun said: "Charlie's Farm will have more guts, passion and quality then any big budget horror film and will shock and scare the crap out of real slasher fans again!

"Charlie Wilson is 7ft, 170kgs of pure killing machine. Charlie is designed to be a cold hearted no talking killer. He has lived in the outback alone since he was 10 years old; he kills anyone that invades his land. No mercy, No talking, shear terror."
