THE moment a Welsh video blogger was smacked in the face by a flying fish has gone viral, but not everyone is convinced that it was real.

Already the close encounter of the fish kind has earning millions of views and tens of thousands of shares.

Filmed at Barry Island in Wales, vlogger Aimee is speaking to the camera along the water's edge as a storm hits, when suddenly she is bopped by an airborne fish.

It comes with the caption, "When you're trying to vlog and get hit by a fish".

But given that Aimee is half of successful YouTube blogging duo "Kinging-It", viewers are questioning whether the stunt is even real.

She told Wales Online the video of the fish fiasco has now already been more popular than every video the duo have done.

"It's gone crazy," she said.

"With Storm Gertrude trending on social media it's been quite popular and people have loved it."
