Uzbek classical music stars bring show

UZBEK classical musicians Renat and Hila Yusupov will offer a performance in Ballina next month.

Renat Yusupov studied cello at the class of Professor Nikolay Bukin at the Uzbek State Conservatory.

Between 1992 and 1999 he had worked as an Assistant Principal Cellist of The National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan and Concertmaster of the State Conservatory.

Renat migrated to Australia in November 1999 from St. Petersburg, Russia, where he worked with the St. Petersburg Orchestra as an Assistant Principal Cellist.

Hila Yusupov was born in Uzbekistan. She was accepted to the Tashkent State Conservatory to Classical Piano Faculty.

After receiving her Bachelor of Music and Education with Honours in 1992, Hila completed her Master Degree in Chamber Music with Professor Nikolay Bukin, and served as a tutor for Voice and String Faculties and Professor's Assistant in Chamber Ensemble Music.

In 2005, Hila migrated to Australia, and was employed by Australian Institute of Music (Sydney) as a piano teacher, accompanist and chamber music fellow.

Since 2005, Hila has been playing at many occasions with different soloists and ensembles.
