UGL will perform maintenance, shutdown, engineering and project services for the GLNG facility.

The company is expected to start getting a workforce together in the second quarter of this year.

UGL managing director and chief executive Ross Taylor said securing another major contract in LNG maintenance reflected UGL's leading position in the sector.

The company also was recently awarded a four-year maintenance contract on the APLNG project on Curtis Island, providing downstream maintenance, shutdown and modification project services.

GLNG is expected to deliver first gas later this year.
