Young truckie jailed over horror crash which left two dead

A  YOUNG truck driver has been jailed for three years over a horror crash on the NSW Hume Hwy which left two people dead in February, 2012.

Kaine Barnett, 26, was found to have caused the crash which claimed the lives of 23-year-old university student Sarah Fraser and 40-year-old tow truck driver Geoffrey Clarke at Berrima, near Wagga Wagga.

He was sentenced in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday and will be eligible for parole after serving 18 months.
