Truck driver, 55, critically injured in horrific rollover

A TRUCK driver suffered critical injuries in a horrific highway rollover west of Toowoomba at the weekend.
The driver, 55, remains in a Brisbane hospital with extensive injuries after his truck overturned near Miles overnight Saturday.
The truck cabin was effectively torn in two in the rollover, and the flatbed trailer blocked the rural highway.
Queensland Ambulance paramedics first transported the man to Miles Hospital before he was airlifted to Brisbane.

RACQ LifeFlight's medical team helped Miles Hospital staff stabilise the man before he was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
He was transported in a critical condition.
The inter-hospital transfer was one of 18 missions LifeFlight was involved with across the weekend, including airlifting a toddler from NSW to Brisbane after her foot was partially amputated in a freak incident on a ride-on lawnmower.
