Total value of NSW land up 19.6% in just one year

NEW South Wales land values are now tipping more than $1.34 trillion after increasing 19.6% in just a year.

The Auditor-General's new figures reveal the North Coast performed strongly in the review - especially Byron Shire, with a 17.85% increase to reach a median residential land value of $118,000.

But Sydney suburbs Blacktown (+47%), Parramatta (+35.9%) and Holroyd (+28%) recorded the strongest growth of any local government areas.

We have created an online interactive tool to let readers to stickybeak on their neighbours and compare how their home rates.

Every council area in the state is included on the interactive map, with values for everything from residential to industrial land.

Check out the website to try it out for yourself.
