Top Aussie trap shooter Michael Diamond targets title

DUAL Olympic men's trap gold medallist Michael Diamond is still on target for a fourth world championship despite finishing fifth in the latest World Cup event in Cyprus.

The 41-year-old Australian has finished 4th, 5th and 7th in the three World Cup shoots this year - the final event will be held in Spain next month.

The top eight point-scorers automatically qualify for the world championship in Peru in September.
