Toddler death: Man arrested over two-year-old's murder

BRISBANE man has been arrested with the 2015 murder of a two-year-old boy.

The 29-year-old man was arrested this morning following a lengthy police investigation.

The little boy died at Lady Cilento Children's in April 2015 after being found unconscious at a Kingston home, south of Brisbane.

Detective Inspector Mark White said significant resources were committed to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the child's death.

"The death of any child is always tragic but this is a particularly distressing case where a young child has suffered horrific injuries.

"Our team of detectives are determined to complete a robust and exhaustive investigation and are continuing to appeal for anyone with information which could assist us to come forward."
