Todd Carney going from Cronulla to the dragons?

FORMER Sharks bad boy Todd Carney appears to have a good chance of ending up at the Dragons ... the Catalan Dragons in the UK Super League, that is.

After a lewd photograph that went viral on social media led to Carney's sacking at Cronulla - the third NRL club to lose patience with the brilliant playmaker - the Dragons said they would be delighted to pick up the wayward star.

Fellow Super League clubs Hull KR, Warrington and Salford have reportedly ruled out signing the five-eighth, but Dragons coach Laurent Frayssinous expressed strong interest.

"What I can tell you as a coach is everyone would love to have such a quality player," Frayssinous told UK paper The Daily Star.

"He's one of the best stand-offs in the world and I'm pretty sure we can use the relationship his manager has with Super League clubs."

Carney had discussions with the French club in 2011 after being dumped by the Roosters.
