WHEN I say GTM, you say road trip!

It is of course, one of the best ways to take a mini holiday, built excitement for the destination and travel to the greatness that is Groovin' The Moo 2012 in Townsville.

The annual regional music festival line-up has been announced this week with some stellar Aussie and international acts to get you pumped before tickets go on sale on February 16.

This year organisers of Australia's only regional touring event have set a milestone record of 10 international artists including Canada's City and Colour, Germany's Digitalism and hip hop legends Public Enemy, one-man-party Andrew W.K and Wavves coming all the way from the USA.

For artists Chiddy Bang, Mutemath and The Maccabees, this will be their first tour of Australia.

They will join our Aussie favourites 360, Big Scary, Bluejuice, The Getaway Plan, Gold Fields, Hilltop Hoods, Kimbra, Matt Corby, Parkway Drive as well as triple j unearthed artists yet to be announced.

The 25 acts will be presented ceremoniously on a double outdoor stage and on the Moolin Rouge Big Top Tent
With all of these great musicians, the scene has been set for an annual ritual of music, colour, costumes, expression and good times.

Now in its eighth year, GTM has a history of sell-out shows and they are proud to say the events will be licensed and for all ages.

Before the tour kicks off in Bendigo, the GTM team have thrown together a Shaman Blog to "fortune tell and channel" artists' stories.

Jake Stone from Bluejuice is the first to regale fans with a tale from when he emailed GTM two years ago under the influence of an, err, substance, asking when the band would be invited on the tour.

GTM organiser Stephen Halpin Stephen Halpin said he was excited about this year's line-up with fresh locals, festival favourites and breaking internationals.
