Terri Irwin pays tribute to under-fire Toowoomba fishmonger
ONE of Australia's most well-known conservationists Terri Irwin has paid tribute to a Toowoomba fishmonger for its decision to stop selling shark fins.
Stoney the Fishmonger came under fire earlier this year when it was revealed that the business had started selling the controversial delicacy.
The fins were taken off the menu after a public outcry, led mainly by the Australia Anti-Shark Finning Alliance.
This morning, Irwin tweeted a message of support directed at Stoney the Fishmonger.
"Way 2 go Robert Stone 4 withdrawing the sale of shark fins. Let's all go 2 Toowoomba & support Stoney the Fishmonger!" Irwin's tweet read.
