South Ballina caravan park residents given a year to go

RESIDENTS of the Seabreeze Holiday Park in South Ballina have been told they have at least 12 months before they have to move out.

Park owner Glen Wright has been in a long running battle with Ballina Shire Council over his On Site Sewerage Management System.

When he was served with a Show Cause notice on July 18, he threatened to close the park and evict about 20 residents by August 1, rather than comply with the council's requests.

But tenancy protection laws have prevailed following meetings with the Affiliated Residential Park Residents Association NSW.
