TWO young Sunshine Coast singers will be in full voice as they try to impress the celebrity coaches on reality show The Voice Kids tomorrow.

Teens Ellie and Jamie feature in the latest instalment of the show's blind auditions, where contestants have to sing in front of a studio audience in the hope of getting coaches Mel B, Delta Goodrem and Madden brothers Joel and Benji to turn around and take them on.

Fourteen-year-old Jamie, of Palmwoods, moved to Australia from the UK five years ago.

He was battling illness the day he took to the stage in Sydney.

"I was really sick when I had my blind audition," Jamie told the Daily.

"In the morning I could barely stand up, so my mum rushed me to the doctor and it turned out I had a chest and throat infection. I went out there and I thought, 'how am I going to do this?'

"I couldn't speak for a week afterwards, but it was worth it."

Nipper and keen surfer Ellie, 13, of Alexandra Headland, has her heart set on impressing the Madden brothers.

The twins, who formed hit band Good Charlotte when they were only a few years older than Ellie, coach a single team on the show and share a custom-made dual spinning chair.

"I was always going to go with the brothers if they turned around," she said.

"You look at them on TV and they're all dressed in black and in hats and sunnies, but when you met them they're actually really nice and normal people."

The Voice Kids is tomorrow at 6.30pm on Channel 9 WIN.
