Team Sky out to win Criterium du Dauphine for third year

AUSSIE Richie Porte was looking to make up some lost ground in stage three of the Criterium du Dauphine in France overnight.

The Team Sky rider was seventh overall ahead of the 167km ride from Amberieu-en-Bugey to Tarare after dropping three places in stage two.

Team Sky is trying to win the race for a third consecutive year.

Canadian David Veilleux had a one minute 56 secs lead before the stage.
