Teachers at Catholic schools to hold stop-work meeting
CATHOLIC school teachers across NSW will hold a stop-work meeting on Monday from 8.30-9.30am.
Independent Education Union organiser for the north coast Sandra White said the meeting was to report back to members on negotiations and to vote on a proposal put forward by the union executive.
She said they had avoided calling a full-day or half-day stop-work in order to minimise disruption to students and their families.
Ms White said principals will be writing to parents advising them of any changes to school hours or changes to supervision on Monday morning.
She said a proposed new enterprise agreement would strip back some conditions for teachers and support staff.
Further industrial action has not been ruled out.
