Tassie devil dies in US zoo attack

A TASMANIAN devil has had its skull crushed by a block of asphalt at a US zoo.

Police are investigating the death of one of four Tasmanian devils - on loan since December - at the Albuquerque Bio Park Zoo in New Mexico.

They do not know if a zoo worker or a member of the public was responsible for the attack on the Australian marsupial named Jasper.
