Lisa Curry: Syndrome drove me to act like a b***h

WHEN former swimming champ Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny split after 23 years of marriage, the Sunshine Coast was stunned.

The couple, who lived with their three children on Mooloolah River, was well known around the Coast.

In a new interview with A Current Affair, 52-year-old Lisa has revealed the syndrome she says drove her to act like a "b***h" and put strain on the relationship.

Lisa said a naturopath had diagnosed her as having Rushing Woman's Syndrome. She said it was the syndrome that drove a wedge between her and Grant.

"I was just being an absolute b***h, a cow, angry and irritable for no reason," she said in the interview.

"Grant wasn't actually doing anything wrong ... I just couldn't control it."

Given the option of taking anti-depressants, eventually Lisa chose to treat the condition with herbs and hormone supplements. She takes these with her morning smoothies.

The couple was married in 1986 and split amicably in 2009, with Grant going on to find love with television presenter Fifi Box.

It has been widely reported that Fifi and Grant have a child together, Trixie Belle, but he and Lisa remain close friends. Their adult children - Jaimi, Jett and Morgan - often babysit the toddler.
