Adam Goodes' ‘dives’ wind Shane Warne up

FORMER champion spin bowler Shane Warne has ignited another war of words over staging for free kicks.

After Geelong's Brownlow medallist Jimmy Bartel was the subject of similar allegations last week, Adam Goodes found himself on the receiving end of accusations from Warne after the Swans' three-point loss to Richmond.

The spinner, who played for the St Kilda reserves in the AFL before deciding to concentrate on cricket, was unaware Goodes was the Australian of the Year.

"Come on tigers beat those Swans and make the finals. By the way, does everyone get annoyed when Adam Goodes always "stages" for free kicks?" Warne tweeted.

And then after being informed by Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke, of Goodes' award, Warne followed with: "I think Syd or the Hawks will win the flag. Shocked as I just found out Goodes was Aust of the year, wow! Who votes for that?"
