Super Suarez keeps Liverpool in touch

LIVERPOOL striker Luis Suarez scored a stunning hat-trick as the Reds hammered West Bromwich Albion 4-1 at Anfield to stay hot on the heels of Premier League leaders Arsenal yesterday.

Suarez (pictured) scored twice in the first-half before completing his first home hat-trick, and his fourth in the league, after the break.

Strike partner Daniel Sturridge added the fourth to keep his side two points behind the Gunners.

Arsenal won 2-0 at struggling and managerless Crystal Palace, despite having goalscorer Mikel Arteta sent off.

Arteta scored a first-half penalty before being shown a red card for a professional foul in the 65th minute.

Champions Manchester United narrowly escaped another setback after twice coming from behind to beat Stoke 3-2 at Old Trafford.

United was 2-1 down with 12 minutes left before Wayne Rooney headed the equaliser and Javier Hernandez scored an 80th-minute winner. Southampton climbed to third after beating Fulham 2-0, Everton won 2-0 at Aston Villa, while the clash between Norwich and Cardiff ended scoreless.
