Sex question stumps TV star

A HAT-trick, a century or sex: which is best?

Talking cricket is second nature for Sam Brandon, but the delivery of this curly question almost hit him for six.

The 20-year-old Caloundra cricketer says that as far as he is concerned, the winner is sex "because it comes around a bit more often than a hat-trick".

Sam appears in the latest edition of Cleo as part of a feature spread of the cast of the Foxtel's reality show Australia's Top Cricketer, on which he is a contestant.

The curly questions aside, Sam says it was an amazing experience to be flown to Sydney for a photo shoot.

"I wasn't expecting it but it's one of those experiences in my life that not too many people can say they've been in Cleo magazine," he said.

"I was actually very nervous because they were talking about having topless shoots and I haven't got the best body to go in magazines.

"They did a very good job with the photoshop."

Sam sent his mum into the newsagency to buy him a copy of the glossy magazine.

Friends - including old pals from his home state of Victoria - have been recognising Sam's face in the magazine.

Now that filming of the program is over, Sam conceded he missed the attention.

And that includes the make-up checks.

"I do kind of miss the attention and all of that," he said.

"It's the best thing I've done in my life."

Sam said he hoped to head to Darwin later this year for the Northern Territory's cricket season.
