Sex affair of All Blacks' Aaron Smith revealed
ALL Blacks star Aaron Smith has been caught in a sex storm on the eve of the Bledisloe Cup on Saturday night.
Smith was caught having sex in a disabled toilet at Christchurch Airport last year, as the New Zealand side prepared to depart for South Africa.
At the time, Smith played downplayed the incident, saying it was a one-off, but private Facebook messages have been revealed showing there is more to the story, and that Rugby Union officials weren't given the whole truth.
The messages reveal the sordid affair between the All Black and a woman, whose identity has not yet been revealed, played out in a series of text messages before the airport incident.
The messages came to light after the woman involved approached The Mail Online, after growing frustrated that the true story regarding the airport incident had not been revealed.
"This was not some quick hook up," the woman said. "I had been seeing Aaron on and off for years before he met his current girlfriend."
Witnesses said Smith and the female occupied a toilet at the airport for around 10 minutes, and the noises emerging clearly gave away what was occurring inside.
They said Smith emerged in his full All Blacks uniform and there was not an ounce of remorse or regret on his face. He buttoned up his shirt and sat back down with his team mates and carried on smiling and chatting like nothing had happened.
New Zealand Rugby Union suspended him for one match, and Smith delivered a tearful statement to the press, saying he hoped to rectify things with his partner Teagan Voykovich following the tryst.
"I've made a huge mistake, a huge error in judgment. I'd firstly like to say a huge sorry to my partner Teagan, her family, my family," Smith said at a media conference in South Africa.
"I'm also sorry to my teammates, the NZRU and the New Zealand fans.
"My behaviour was unacceptable and if you could respect me and my partner in this situation, I'm just trying to get home to deal with this. Thank you."
The toilet incident was sold by Smith as a one-off mistake, but the private Facebook messages between Smith and the woman reveal explicit details of their two-year affair.
"He asked me to go along with his story which he had told both his girlfriend and his management," the woman told Mail Online.
"He had said that I saw him at the airport and I asked him to talk in the bathroom about my boyfriend, but I didn't have a boyfriend at that time, that was just something he had made up."
Smith's partner Voykovich stayed loyal to the All Black following the incident, despite the ongoing relationship going on behind her back.
In the messages sent to the press from an account alleged to be Smith's, the woman is propositioned for a "good luck f****", to which the reply was "lol, umm don't u have a girlfriend."
SMITH: "Hay u! What Upto tonight or now"
WOMAN: "Hey - I'm just in my way home. What bout u?"
SMITH: "I'm alone for couple hours would u come to a park opposite my house? I'm free till 8. Come on."
The messages suggest the halfback failed to reveal the full story to his All Black bosses about what really happened in the airport incident.
SMITH: "What I have said is u message me, to come for a chat. I came for a chat, nothing happened in there. I said I got all flustered and left OK. But if anyone ask you something, please say that. Only my coach been hit up ... I'm hoping nothing goes to media OK. Please stick with this, I'm hoping u won't get brought up OK."
SMITH: "Stop freaking out for now OK ... So our story is ... What you said Hun ... u were going thru a tough time ... with ur bf ... And wanted to have a chat. That is all OK ...
Delete these message."
In another message Smith asks the woman to sign a legal document to verify his fabricated version of events regarding the airport tryst.
"When we got caught he lied about what had happened and asked me to stick to the story he had told his new girlfriend and coach, which essentially put the blame on me," the woman said.
"He just told me if anyone asks to say nothing, but if I have to then to just go along with that story, which I wasn't happy about because it made me look like more easily attainable than what I am.
"At that point I said if you're going to say that then just leave me out of it, which he promised he had done, but he hasn't. No-one knows the truth."
SMITH: "OK are you will to do a sawn afterdavided (sic) to say we didn't have sex in there ...??
"Cause they claim there a video and can hear noise but u weren't loud at all ...
"So if u swar that we didn't have sex then nothing may come out in media and will save me heaps Hun.
"My coach say if u do a afterdavid think the media will go away and won't come up!!!!
"I did say we kissed and u gave me h***, just to my coach but no sex OK ...!"
Smith also outlines what he will say to the media in the press conference and the punishment (one match ban) that will follow. He relays the message that the New Zealand Rugby Union will release a statement on the matter, and for her not to make comment.
WOMAN: "If no one knows my name, no one will call me."
But the plan came unstuck after a third party revealed a photo of Smith and the woman to the media, confirming the two had history prior to the airport hook-up, that they tried to pass off as their only interaction.
This is where the relationship changes, where the woman declared her anger at being "that girl".
WOMAN: "I feel so bad I want to cry. You must think I'm such a hoe, but I swear it's not like that. It's different because it was you and because I didn't know you had an actual girlfriend I thought you were just seeing someone."
The woman has decided to come forward and tell her side of the story, saying she has been hounded by the media, and the fallout had taken its toll, while Smith has seemingly been able to continue with his life.
"It's just really frustrating," the woman said. "At the time I was hounded by the media, and on social media everyone was commenting calling me a whore and this and that … it appeared like I was something I wasn't.
"Without anyone knowing who I was or what had happened, I was called a whore, a home-wrecker and a dumb b**** online, while at the same time the New Zealand public showed support for [Smith], telling him he is still their hero."
The Christchurch toilet incident is not Smith's first indiscretion.
Smith's then-girlfriend Hannah Whitefield ditched him in 2014 after learning he had a one-night stand with a former stripper.
The other woman told Ms Whitefield about the cheating herself after learning Smith wasn't single, revealing the couple had got together the night before a Super Rugby clash in Auckland at a team hotel.
