Senate passes NDIS laws to form DisabilityCare Australia

A SERIES of bills to create DisabilityCare Australia, the national disability insurance scheme, passed the Senate unaltered on Thursday.

Following years of campaigning by the disability and health sectors, the package of new laws were passed unopposed.

The bills will enact a series of changes to start DisabilityCare Australia around the nation, starting with trial sites in most states.
