Rosberg not getting ahead of himself in F1 title battle

MOTORSPORT: Nico Rosberg can see the finish line, but the German will be taking it one lap at a time.

Win in Brazil this weekend and he will secure his first Formula One championship.

But, despite having won at the Sao Paulo track the past two years, Rosberg knows full well the title could yet go down to the wire in Abu Dhabi if Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton were to deny him a hat-trick.

"There are still two races to go and anything can happen in this sport, so I need to focus my energy on the factors that I have in my control," said Rosberg who holds a 19-point advantage.

Rosberg can also win the title if he finishes second, and Hamilton is fourth or lower.

Hamilton wrapped up his 2008 title in Brazil, and hasn't given up hope of claiming a fourth and third in a row,

"I'm going to keep pushing," he said.

"Since the beginning of my Formula One career I've seen that everything can change even at the very last moment, so you have to fight to the bitter end.

"I've never won in Brazil, so I go into this weekend focused on changing that."
