Roma man, 24, killed after car hits bridge barrier

A 24-YEAR-OLD Roma man as died as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle traffic crash in Roma on Sunday night.

Initial investigations indicate that around 9.50, the man was driving on Northern Road when he collided with a side barrier on the bridge 50m west of the intersection with William Street.

He was rushed to Roma Hospital for treatment, however died a short while later.

A 19-year-old Roma man, and passenger in the vehicle, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Roma Hospital for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. There is no further information available at this stage.
