Roll up for the floods

LOCALS can have a roll, and test their trivia, in aid of Queensland flood victims.

Local university student Leticia Chapman has organised a bowls day and a trivia night at the Lennox Head Bowls and Sports Club, to be held on January 30, with the proceeds going to the flood appeal.

“This crisis is just one thing that shows our country’s great spirit and unity to help each other out,” she said.

“The amount of money raised will help and contribute a little to this great Australian tragedy.”

It will cost $10 to take part in the bowls, and $10 each for the trivia event, with teams of four. The bowls starts at 3pm while the trivia starts at 7.30pm.

The prizes on offer include two nights accommodation at the Headlands Beach Resort and two nights at Mantra Resort, Hervey Bay. Leticia is looking for other donations of major prizes.

For tickets, phone Leticia on 0402 203 183.
