Rocky girl's $2000 for make-up session with Kim Kardashian

LONDON, New York, South Africa - and Rockhampton.

Young women from all over the world converged on the Middle Eastern city of Dubai this month to get a glimpse not just of the world's most glamorous woman but to experience first hand, the makeup tricks and techniques that help earn her the title.

The $2000 ticket price was tempered for Rocky girl, Lorelli Macaulay who saved the cost of her airfare.

Lorelli is an international flight attendant with the Emirates airline and has been living in Dubai since August last year.

She'd been living in the city for just a few weeks when she heard about the masterclass with Kardashian's makeup artist, Mario Dedivanic and couldn't believe her good timing.

Lorelli was tossing the price of her brush with fame until her mum convinced her it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

So Lorelli made the decision, booked her ticket and found herself in the company of her idol.

Mario Dedivanovic travels the world conducting master-classes. On most occasions he uses a catwalk model or singer to demonstrate his legendary techniques so the chance to come face-to-face with Kim Kardashian was indeed a rare opportunity.

"I follow him on Instagram," Lorelli told The Morning Bulletin.

"That's how I stay in the loop - Mario is Kim's go-to makeup artist."

The masterclass was originally scheduled for October last year but was rescheduled after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel.

So in January this year, Lorelli spent a day she'll never forget in the company of celebrity royalty.

"Basically we all arrived and headed into the auditorium," she said.

"Straight away Mario and Kim came out.

"Kim had no make-up on and for the whole day, live on stage, he did her make-up," Lorelli said.

"He talked us through what he was doing, what make-up brush he was using, what product he was using and used her face to show us exactly how it looked."

Lorelli said even though she is a big fan of Kim Kardashian, it was more so the make-up she was there for.

"I danced for so many years, so I've always been interested in make-up and I worked in a beauty salon for about a year when I was just out of high school," she said.

"Kim Kardashian, as everyone knows, always looks amazing.

"So if I do my make-up, or one of my girlfriends asks me to do hers, then I will have a look at Kim's make-up for a bit of inspiration...and the day finished with an amazing take home bag."
