REIQ to host US property guru

ONE of the most successful real estate agents in the United States and a director of the National Associations of Realtors (NAR) will appear at a Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) event later this month.

Steve Goddard, a NAR Director and President's Liaison to Australia, will speak at the REIQ's annual Principal Licensee Luncheon in Brisbane.

Steve will provide an update on the US property market, which has experienced some of its bleakest conditions on record since the GFC hit in 2008.

Also appearing at the luncheon is property expert Richard Rawlings, who has witnessed first-hand the fragility of markets in Europe.

"The UK property market has had a very rough ride in the past few years, with volumes having halved since the peak of 2007," he said.

"Yet some of my more progressive estate agency clients are experiencing record sales levels whilst delighting their own clients."

The REIQ Principal Licensee Luncheon is on Friday 16 March at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. For more information or to book phone 3249 7384 or email events@reiq.com.au
