FRIED, baked, mashed - we all love a good potato.
But turning them into jewellery?
Against all odds, Jane Way from Earth Apple Jewellery has done just that, creating wearable art from local Dorrigo potatoes.
Describing herself as a wife, mum, granny, and a farmer who loves potatoes, Jane has been making jewellery from this unusual medium for several years, and building herself an enviable reputation as a master craftswoman.
"As an artist and craftsperson, it's always very rewarding to receive positive feedback about your work", Jane said
"The first Made in Dorrigo was a great day for me, and I will definitely be back there this month!"
Made in Dorrigo, established last year by the Dorrigo Chamber of Commerce, had a popular first outing last year.
Everything at the market this year is made exclusively by local artists, crafts people, growers, gardeners, manufacturers and producers - all of whom live on the Dorrigo plateau.
The next market will be held in Hickory Street, Dorrigo, on March 24, 8am-2pm.
