Proteas humble Australians to wrap up Test series

CRICKET: Australia has slumped to an embarrassing defeat to South Africa in the second Test in Hobart, losing 8-32 on the fourth morning to scotch any hopes of a comeback.

After making just 85 in the first innings at Blundstone Arena, the Australians had battled back to be 2-121 in their second innings, 120 runs behind after the Proteas had made 326.

But 6-77 from man-of-the-match Kyle Abbott and 4-34 from Kagiso Rabada ensured the South Africans claimed the win by an innings and 80 runs, wrapping up the three-Test series in the process after their win in Perth last week.
