ROYAL CHRISTMAS: George and Charlotte shine on family card

BEAMING at the camera, the royals look like almost any other family for their Christmas card.

And while happy parents Wills and Kate - who are expecting their third child next year - grin at the camera, it's their adorable kids George and Charlotte who steal the show.

The photograph shows the Duchess of Cambridge glowing in a powder blue dress, matching her adorable daughter, who is wearing a blue floral dress.

Dad Prince Wills can be seen holding George's shoulders, with the four-year-old - who started school this year - smiling happily at the camera as he holds his dad's hand in his customary shorts.

Sharing the photograph, taken by Getty's Chris Jackson at Kensington Palace, a statement announced: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family.

"The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year."

It appears that the photograph was taken before Kate's pregnancy, with the Duchess not showing any visible bump in the Christmas card.

Kensington Palace also revealed that young Charlotte would be starting nursery next year, saying in a statement: "Their Royal Highnesses have also announced this morning that Princess Charlotte will attend the Willcocks Nursery School in London from January 2018."

The nursery released a statement, saying: "We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte.

"We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January."

It's a big year for the family, who are expecting their third child in April next year.

Kensington Palace confirmed the news that a new royal baby is on the way on September 4, 2017.

And Prince Harry will be busy himself, currently organising his wedding to US actress Meghan Markle for May next year.

Loved-up Harry and Meghan announced their engagement last month and are due to wed in Windsor.

They will spend their first Christmas as an official couple with the Royal Family.

Harry's brother Wills, his pregnant wife Kate and their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be there this year after opting to spend Christmas with the Middletons in 2016.
