Pregnant woman pushed by thieves gives birth prematurely

A PREGNANT woman who fell on her stomach when she was attacked at the Sydney Easter Show has given birth more than a month early.

The 32-year-old ticket saleswoman was 34-weeks pregnant when she was knocked to the ground by two men who had grabbed her bags.

She was given first aid at the scene and rushed to Westmead Hospital where she gave birth to a baby boy three hours later.

The baby remains in intensive care.

Police will update the public on their search for the robbers later today.
