MISSING Pottsville girl Electra Doyle is believed to be in North Queensland.

"She's still missing but we believe the person she's with may be in North Queensland," Tweed crime manager Brendon Cullen said.

Inspector Cullen said police on both sides of the border were "definitely chasing it up."

It is still believed the young girl, who was reported missing by her father, is in the company of a relative.

Eleven days ago Insp Cullen said Electra was supposed to go back into her father's custody on May 13.

"Her father did not report her missing until May 21," he said.

The police hold serious concerns for her welfare.

If you have spotted the young girl contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00.

She's described as being of Caucasian appearance, 155cm tall, of athletic build, with blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.
