Police constable in court for alleged arson

A POLICE officer will face Coffs Harbour Local Court next month over an alleged arson incident in May.
The 26-year-old constable was charged with dishonestly destroying property by fire and intention to defraud with a false or misleading statement.
The constable, who is attached to the Central Metropolitan Region (Sydney), is due to appear before court on Monday, September 5.
