DIRECTORS of MTR have pulled the plug on the low-rating right-wing Melbourne talk station, putting it into administration.

Half-owner Macquarie Radio Network and joint venture partner Pacific Star Network made the appointment in a one-line statement to the stock exchange today.

Macquarie spokeswoman Julia Everingham refused to disclose who had been appointed as administrator.

However, despite the administration the radio station continues to broadcast.

This afternoon it was, as usual, taking the Chris Smith show from Sydney sister station 2GB.
